Blog 10 D26 My PCOS Journey Inspiring Stories From Women Who Fought PCOS 1

Life with PCOS can often get challenging. However, you are not alone in this journey. We bring to you some of our many success stories and we hope they inspire you to take care of yourself.

  1. “I’m a proud mom of 2 beautiful kids”

Like most people, I love the show FRIENDS. One of the reasons I loved it so much was because it focused on each of the main female characters having a unique approach to childbirth that strayed from traditional norms. Whether it was surrogacy with Phoebe, single motherhood with Rachel, or adoption with Monica, it showed how each woman’s journey with fertility was special.

I have been the ‘group mom’ all my life. Unfortunately, for the longest time, I had not been able to have kids of my own. I wanted to cherish every moment of the Mom life like being able to hold my kids in my arms with all my love and affection.

My husband and I had been trying for 4 years but my severe level PCOS was a major obstacle to conceiving.

I’ll be ever grateful to my former colleague who too had been on the same page as I had. She introduced to me what worked exceptionally well for her to conceive and it is Plix’s solution for fighting PCOS.

1 year of introducing their products & customized PCOS diet plan, PCOS lifestyle tips & workout plan to my health care routine regularised my periods and improved my chances of conceiving.

It’s been a year since then, I’m a proud Mumma of 2 beautiful, healthy twins!

  1. “Self-care is the purest form of self-love”
2021 was a tough year for my family and me. My dad was diagnosed with COVID-19 in the 2nd wave of the pandemic. The entire experience took a heavy toll on my mental health and eventually my physical health as well.I did not get my periods for 6 months straight and I was emotionally too tied up to take care of myself. Somehow, my mom pushed me to take this seriously and visit the gynecologist, I was diagnosed with PCOS.This time period allowed me to reflect on the importance of self-care. A healthy diet and working out slowly but consistently helped me regularise periods within a period of 7 months.

If there is one message I’d like to give to every woman suffering from PCOS, it is that nothing more than self-care can help you. If you take care of your body, your body will take care of you.

  1. “I went from being super moody to being a super cute Yogi.”
People always ask me how I have clear skin and I tell them, ‘I work towards it!’ I do! And I have to because if I don’t, I’d be hinting at PCOS signs and symptoms to come, give me a visit again.I’m not exaggerating! I had a severe case of PCOS. Irregular periods, acne, mood swings, anxiety, bad metabolism – you name it, I had all the problems in the world.I was more of a beauty enthusiast than a healthcare enthusiast, and I’m glad I was because I’m more experimental with skincare than health care. I have tried multiple solutions for my acne issues like introducing numerous products to my skincare routine but acne has always troubled me. These had left a significant mark on my persona for I used to be conscious while interacting with people. I came across Plix’s ad for drinkable skin care solutions and started using it with my existing skincare routine. And I loved it! To like a brand is one thing, to put your trust in it is another. And because Plix had managed to gain my trust, I decided to try out their PCOS Supplements for fighting PCOS. What helped finalize my decision was their personalized PCOS diet plan & workout recommendations that I needed to incorporate into my routine alongside the supplements.

Over a period of 11 months of using the product, I, along with people around me noticed a plethora of changes in me. One of the major changes was a drop in mood swings along with the fading of acne. My periods also regularized after 11 months.

There has been no looking back since!

To all women reading this, good things come into your life when you pledge to take care of yourself.

  1. “Shaadi ke baad chala jaega ye sab”

This is exactly what surprisingly, my family physician told me when I complained to her about my period irregularities. Of course, my period irregularities weren’t so consistently severe back then, so I did believe her when she said this. The wedding was already in process, I just had to wait for a few months until I could see my problems getting solved.

To another surprise, my periods became even more irregular! When I consulted a Gynecologist, I was diagnosed with mild PCOS. When I look back now my life before marriage, it also had PCOS/PCOD problem symptoms that I had ignored all along like acne, unexplained weight loss, and irregular periods.

As per my gynecologist, a sudden change in lifestyle and all the stress associated with it may have been the reason why it worsened.

She recommended the use of contraceptives to me which I diligently used for 6 months and yes it did regularize my periods.

However, when I got tested again to see the progress on my ovaries, to yet another surprise, the cysts were still in place, just like how they were 6 months ago.

Life is full of surprises, indeed but this was not what I asked for.

If there is one good thing my marriage has given to me, it has to be my husband. He is the sweetest person I know and my biggest cheerleader! He did extensive research on different ways of fighting PCOS and gave me a very thoughtful gift. It was Plix’s PCOS plan.

I closed my eyes and accepted this plan as it was.

And that brings me here, to their review page. Leaving a 5-star review here. I don’t think I need to say more.
